Artificial Christmas Tree Farm
Christmas Tree Farm - Special Needs Sign up
Annual Artificial Christmas Tree Farm
Saturday, December 7, 2024
Driving to the lot. Searching for just the right tree. The joy on the kids’ faces when you load the tree in the car. The memories of setting it up in the perfect place and decorating it just right!
Most of us have memories like this from our childhoods. For special needs families, it can be hard to make these memories in regular Christmas Tree Farms.
But that has changed! This is our 4th year providing this event for Special Needs Families and those in need.
There will be tons of artificial trees to choose from- all for free- plus festive snacks, cheerful Christmas music, a photo booth to remember your trip, and more fun and surprises!
Families can schedule a 15-minute time slot from 9am-1pm for their families to build some special memories. We will make as many accommodations as possible to ensure that your family has a wonderful time searching for the right tree, sharing tasty treats, and taking your own special “artificial” Christmas tree home to decorate!
Then from 1-3, we will have an open lot, welcoming families in need to come and make their own memories selecting a tree (our gift to you!). No sign up needed for this time- we want to bless our community!
Special Accommodations: If you feel you need more than 15 minutes, please sign up for 2 slots back-to-back.
The Annual Artificial Christmas Tree Farm is at Faith Community Church of Coopersville 105 68th Ave. N, Coopersville, MI 49404.

Sensory Friendly Indoor Trunk or Treat 2024
Sensory Friendly Indoor Trunk or Treat 2024
Description of event for families:
Join us for a low-impact Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat for friends with special needs and their families. This not-so-spooky event will be held at the Faith Community Church (105 N 68th Ave, Coopersville, MI), on Saturday October 19 from 11-1pm.
The first half hour, from 11-11:30, is set aside for families needing accommodation to register for a 5-minute block of time to have an even lower-impact experience. If your loved one needs special accommodations, please register; otherwise, you are invited to join us anytime between 11:30-1pm.
There will be candy and non-food treasures- plenty to go around. We will also have snacks, area resources information, as well as handicap-accessible restrooms. The entire family is invited to come on out for some Halloween fun, and there is no age or ability limit! We will have games along with apple cider slushes and popcorn.
Register for the 11-11:30 times slots here. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D49AFA62FABFC1-51020502-sensory#/
Otherwise, everyone is welcome to come from 11:30-1pm.
________________
***Information for Volunteers***
We are asking people to bring items to decorate a 4ft table and to pass out candy and non-food treats to families that attend. Trunk/table hosts are asked to provide at least 150 pieces of candy, and on the day of the event, each table will be provided with non-candy treats to give out as well. Plan to set up your table between 10 - 10:30AM.
We have some suggested guidelines for table hosts: no masks or painted faces for hosts, nothing too scary, no flashing lights or loud music, no clowns. Let your imagination run wild as you decorate your table into a Halloween Wonderland by creating a magical, spooky, or whimsical experience for families.
We are also in need of volunteers to help with welcoming, providing and/or serving snacks, and engaging with our guests.
Sign up to volunteer or host a table or serve during the event. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D49AFA62FABFC1-51020533-sensory#/
